~Learning kanji~

Personally, I've tried many methods for learning kanji, and to date the most effective method I've had has been walking through a list of kanji one by one (about 20 a day), practicing writing each one down a number of times, and then writing down example words that use that kanji. It was also really helpful to have practice tests/paragraphs using those kanji so I could try remembering them as well as learn how the words are used in sentences. I would then review these kanji every day after until I could remember them on my own.

Since the books I've used with this method have been in storage for a few years I haven't been able to study like I've wanted at all. However, I have found a list of beginner/intermediate kanji that does have all of this except for the practice sentences, if anyone wants to try this method out! I was able to learn a couple hundred kanji in a month like this, and so for someone like me with an awful memory I consider that pretty good!
